Raphael's literary taste

Our rabbit, Raphael, very much enjoys chewing on books. As a result, many of the books around our house are missing pieces from their covers.
Now, I am a graduate student up at UB. Some months ago, my advisor gave me a book to look at. I was reading it one day while Raphael was out roaming around, when my wife called me into the other room. I was not gone two seconds when I returned to find my furry friend chewing on the cover of the book, and a large chunk missing! This led to a fairly unusual conversation with my advisor.
